Culture on the Steinberg

"Be open and write". Rainer Maria Rilke didn't want more. Isn't that a modest and at the same time so demanding wish?

He learned the "whole life as if it went through him with all of his possibilities", but also with all the contradictions that crossed him. His urge: the great expanse of the inner world, the experience, love and its inevitable, i.e. what is "more than meat and blood" to interweave in words that almost come to the edge of intolerance. 

Ein Lebenswerk für einen hohen Preis, für ihn selbst, wie für alle, die ihn umgaben. Ein literarisch-musikalisches Rilke-Programm, über ein „radikales Leben, das ganz Kunst sein will“ und in all seiner Widersprüchlichkeit erblüht.
